I finally got Dex running but notice that my interface looks different than what I have seen on youtube videos.

My version is 1.50.012. Is there a newer version available? If so then how to I get it? I couldn't find anything concerning version updates on the DataTaker website.

The newest firmware for the DT80 is 9.14. which includes dEX 1.50.016

Any videos out there will be the older versions of dEX.

Hi Roger, I was shown the latest dEX firmware today and the Event SMS alarm option seems to have been removed. Is this a bug with the latest firmware?? We use this feature A LOT!

Also one of my Engineers tells me you cannot assign a CV to channel readings, I'll have him email you directly about it as I have not seen this myself.

Hi Chris,

Yes there is a bug in the current version of firmware that broke sending the alarms to the host serial port
We are will have a fix for this in a beta version very soon and am planning a release in Q2 with this and other fixes and some new features.

As for assigning CV's the DT80 now does this automatically so now you can use references and calculation and dEX will automatically assign CV's

Hi Roger/Rudy,
Can we have either the last version of firmware for dex put up on the website or can you email it to me please. We have now only new loggers in stock with the latest buggy 9.14 firmware and need to use the sms alarm feature. I need to downgrade the firmware.

Also can you confirm that downgrading the latest DT80M's and DT82EM's will work (that there is not new firmware in the modems which will conflict with the loggers firmware).

Lastly can I suggest that Datataker have links on their site to older firmwares and if a new version is released they notify distributors.
