Delogger 4 not loading

I have been using Delogger4 for the Dt615 and delogger5 for the DT80 series for a good 3-5 years now with no problems.
Running Windows 10. All was fine up to a week ago.

The program loads, a Warning that the site database cannot be opened. Then closes program after you press ok.

Delogger5 works as per normal.

How can I fix this issue.

I uninstalled both Delogger5 and DeLogger4 programs and tried a clean reinstall of Delogger4. Didn't work.

Could company antivirus software be causing issue or has windows done an update to stuff things up?

Wolfy.

Hi Wolfy,

Yes, the antivirus or anti-malware is a likely cause. I had a similar issue with dEX 2.0. In the end, I uninstalled the anti-malware software and all was good. After installing the anti-malware software again, it seemed to know that dEX 2.0 was okay and the problem hasn't return for a couple of years.

You might also need to whitelist DeLogger in the anti-virus software.

Back in the hey days of DeLogger 5, cira 2005. This same issue was a result of the User not having access privileges to where DeLogger installed the database. Keep everything in the Windows User folder and all should be okay.

Hi Wolfy27,

Michael is correct either the anti-virus or security setting of your PC can cause the database opening error. Please also ensure the location of ODBC remains the same. The DeLogger database is marked as Site 7d1v5 and Site 7v5, take a look at the file location in the configuration. Ensure the location is not locked for write or read by the PC.
