problem with unstable A2D bits in data returned

I am logging the 4 LiFepo4 cell voltages to see the migration of charge carriers through the cell after charging and the cell voltage drop as that equalization occurs. The voltages returned all show sudden changes in voltage at the same instant in time. Sometimes up, some times down. This abrupt change appears to be the same amount and would correspond to the 12th or 13 bit of the Analog to Digital converter chip. Any suggestions to diagnose/confirm further welcomed.
