Hi. I'm having trouble communicating with my DT800 s1 via Ethernet.
I have managed to connect via serial and I've ran through the setup procedure but it does not appear as a network location.
I'm running DeTransfer on a spare PC we have which is running Win 7 Home premium, I'm wondering if its something to do with this ver of windows as its networking capabilities are limited or maybe its
dear Sir,
one of customers is using dt800 for resistance measurement.
recently we are facing the following problem;
measured resistance values are lower than actual e.g. 260 Ohm is measured while actual is 350 Ohm.
test command generated following:
T,081617,2014/04/10,12:34:42,0.205322,0;"dataTaker 800 Version 4.10.0001 Flash 2006/01/18 11:32:09";

To all.
I have a three wire pressure transducer.
When connected to the DT800 it courses a very very high pitch tone then the power supply trips out and the continues cycle in this state. I have disconnected it in case of damaging the DT800. Could anyone explain why it is doing this?
Many thanks.
James.
Good morning all.
I would like to ask, if it is possible to switch 5 solenoids on using the DT800.
I would want these solenoids to be started with a button on a mimic and run as:-
On for 1-20 seconds.
Off for the reaming time in a 20, 30 & 60 second periods.
Repeat for 10 -50 times.
This would be for an individual solenoid or multiples up to 5. If more than 1 solenoid was to be
Hi Rodger,
Could you just confirm that Delogger 5 & a DT800 are not compatible with windows 7 please? I found a post some time ago confirming this but can't find it now.
Many thanks.
James.
Hi,
Does anyone know of a piece of equipment that can read an appliances power consumption and then log it using our DT800?
Many thanks.
James.
Hi all,
First Question,
I would like to ask if there is a manual I could down load based on the program builder and not on text file programing. Converting what the text line is in the manual to the program builder is a bit tricky!!
Ok next question,
I have a pressure transducer sending back a voltage signal to my DT800, the span in set for the transducer output to be read in PSI
Hi guys,
I'm using i-checker devices like these:
http://www.aros-solar.com/es/sistemas-de-monitorizacion/ichecker/
These measure the current passing through a conductor but I need a device that takes the data stream.
Could I connect to Datataker Mider and the current through streamings?
Or if there is any other option to measure the current of the i-checker with Datataker DT 800

I just read through all my sensor and DT800 information. I am still confused as to the setup of the button sensor to the DeLogger software and what code I need, if any. Please help! The button sensor is DME and comes with the button sensor, and a button sensor cable that can be connected to the DT800 via the AUX input.

I'm using delogger5 in Windows XP mode via windows virtual PC on a windows 7 PC.
If i leave the network connection open overnight it is lost and i have to power off and on the datalogger to reconnect.
When i reopen my project and try to send information to the connection i get a status check error with the message window " the link to the datataker appears to have been lost"
Why is this
Hi all
I have wired the DT800 for 1/4 bridges on a channel pair (manual page 176).
I have attached a 120 gauge on channel 1+
Reading ppm with 1+BGI...... result: 55 ppm (+- 5ppm)
Reading ppm with 1+BGV......result: 160 ppm (+-15 ppm)
Any takes which result might be right an why?
Thanks, Claudio

For those that are not aware, you can run your DT800 with DeLogger 5 on a windows 7 PC by running XP Mode in Windows Virtual PC.
These are all downloadable from the microsoft site:

Delogger5 can then be i

I am repurposing several DT800's and my trials sofar indicate that they will be able to do a great job. But not everything is making sense to me.
To put things in context, I would like each logger to measure between 10 and 20 voltage signals, once per second, within the first 50 ms, and the loggers synchronized to within 10 ms of each other.
1) I figured out that the timestamp on the data

I'm experimentally studying the self-heating of a special type of resistors. Typically I'm using a DT800 to record differential DC voltages as a "V" channel between, for example, 1+ and 1- terminals, or 3+ and 3-, et cetera, in a simple resistor network. In my experiment I gradually reduce the power supply voltage driving the entire network, over time. Unfortunately my approach is fairly vulnerab

Hi
I am currently trialling a CAN Gate device to read and provide real time engine RPM data and also pass through GPS NMEA strings.
I can connect to the device however when I try and program the device I am getting no feedback from it.
It is currently NOT connected to a CAN Bus network.
Can you advise if I should get feedback from the device when programming?
Also is there a way

Hello,
On page 32 of the CANgate users manual. There is a sentence (listed below) about the options for the response to a poll command.
"These commands will normally send a poll command (RP memslot) then parse the response
and either log it directly or assign it to a channel variable (CV)."
In the past I have frequently used the option of logging the response directly. This has worke

Can you please explain the concept of Burst Mode a little please. When I try and sample a few channels at higher speeds the results often differ from what I expected. The sample intervals and number of samples don't always seem right.

If I want to use VWSG can I use my DT800? Or do I have to buy a Geologger? If I need to buy another model, when will the feature become available in the DT800?

I have an 800 series dataTaker connected to four 1/10th din classB RTD's all held at the same temperature inside a Vacuum flask. When I first started logging their temperatures typical readings were as follows; ch1-4, 21.45, 21.45, 21.43, 21.37. However after logging for four days under the same conditions the readings are now; ch1-4, 23.15, 21.64, 21.64, 21.69.
To disprove any RTD error I s

Hi all,
I've been using DeTransfer for a while now, and I use DDE commands to send data to another software package that does all of my logic and fancy GUI stuff.
However I've noticed something funny on of my systems - after a while of acquiring data, slowly but surely, the DDE data gets corrupted. The channel names (and DDE modifiers) somehow leak into the data. So say I want to read the
