Does anyone know of a piece of equipment that can read an appliances power consumption and then log it using our DT800?

If you are talking about AC then you will need to use a power meter with a serial interface (Not Modbus)
Or it might be possible to sue a shunt resistor on the low side and a step down transformer.

If it is DC then a shunt resistor on the low side and a Voltage divider if the Voltage is too high for the DT800.

Hi Roger.

Could you give an example of the sort of power meter you think I could use.
The choose of meter is too large to single out the right one for connection to a DT800. Plus as usual I need it to be cheap.
Is there information within the manual for connecting the serial output of a meter to the DT800.

The size depends on the current transformers and the voltage signals you are reading.
So are I would talk wit a supplier and let then size a suitable unit ti suit your requirements
