Currently, DT800 are not able to excite vibrating wires. I want to buy a new DT and it's difficult for me to choose the DT515 (vs DT800) because of this problem of vibrating wires. In the future, will exist DT800 (or DT815 !) which can excite vibrating wires.

When ??? I would be very interesting.

While the hardware is in place to support vibrating wire strain gauges on the DT800 the firmware to drive them has not been written and there are no plans to do so for quite a while yet.
