I am trying to use the IBAT internal channel to estimate the battery life. The manual says that current draw should be 150mA (typical) or 400mA(max). I get -464Ma with no inputs connected and logging VBAT and IBAT at 1 sec interval only.

The battery voltage also drops quickly. Any Ideas?

Hi PRC,

We have a document "dt800_known_issues.txt" which is included with the latest firmware. We have listed issue number 40149 within the document.

"The internal System measurements VBAT, VLITH, VCHG, HOVN, PCVPP, PCVCC, VEXT, IBAT, IBATV, and SSVN are inaccurate and noisy."

The DT800 typically draws around 400mA, and up to 800mA when it is charging the battery.

If the internal battery is being charged, you will find that IBAT will have a positive reading, around 400mA to 800mA.

Cheers,
Anthony Ulrich
