Does DT or anyone else know of a way to input multiple serial devices into the serial channel of a DT800 ?

I have an XP2i pressure gauge which communicates through rs232, I have successfully communicated with one gauge, but i need a way to communicate with 2 or more XP2i gauges. If any one has any ideas let me know.

It can't be done with RS232. Let me explain.

RS232 is designed to direct connect one device to another single device. Both devices can listen and transmit at the same time and there is no means of addressing a device.

RS422 and RS485 on the other hand have been designed as a means of connecting more than one device to a communications line. Each device has a unique address and only one device at a time will talk.

If you want to connect more than one RS232 sensor then you will have to have a RS485 converter for each device. then you can address each one individually.
