Real time data could displayed in chart windows

Dear Roger,

I have a problem now. That is, the realtime data can't display in chart window, while they can display correctly in other windows.

Problem comes up as follows, I measure AC volt in normal mode with scan rate of 200HZ, i.e. RA5T,display in chart window is normal, then I change the rate to RA10T.

Then, data couldn't display! I close the project, open it again, but it doesn't work. could you tell me the reason? Thanks

Regards

Good morning kangle2miao,

The two main causes for the chart not working are

  1. Still in edit mode.
On the bottom of the chart window is a button that looks like a hand pressing a button. If it is depressed then the window is in edit mode. Just click on the icon to toggle it off.

  2. Not in follow mode.
In the bottom right hand corner of the graph is an right pointing arrow with a vertical bar in front of it. If the icon is black then the graph is not following the live data. When the icon is green the the graph is live. You may also need to click auto scale to fit the graph.

Please also not that you can not sample the AC voltage at 200 Hz.
By default the DT800 samples over 4 mains that is 4 * 20 = 80 mSec. The fastest you will be able to log is around 10 Hz.

Cheers,
Roger
