Loss of power

It seems every time we lose AC power to the unit, it stops running the program. When I go back online no program has an asterisk next to it so I have to give the runjob command.

I just checked and both batteries are connected. Right now I have P15=2. Is there an easy way to tell it to stop running when AC power is lost but restart once power is restored?

Good morning gilfordj,

It sounds like the lead acid battery might have failed.
The DT800 should be running of the internal lead acid battery then go into sleep mode when as the battery goes flat. When the power comes back on then the DT800 should wake up and continue running.

You can save the job as an ONRESET job. When the DT800 is reset the job will be loaded and run.
In DeTransfer use the command RUNJOBONREST"JOB NAME"
In DeLogger4 use the "Send to connection and save as RESET job"

Cheers,
Roger

Hi Roger,

My troubles are some similar like at giffordj

After reconnecting the AC power supply the datalogger stays in sleep mode. (It went to sleep mode before trough fall below the battery voltage value). I can wake up it with the PC card removing or connecting to RS232 (send any command) but NOT though "put on the cable" AC power supply only. (P15=2)

I want it to be activated if the AC Power supply is back (checking the internal lithium battery seems ok, there is 3,6V).

Thx to mel.

Good morning Nick,

The logger will go into sleep mode if the battery or supply voltage fall below a predetermined level. When the mains power comes back on the DT800 will wake up even if the battery is flat.

Please check the power supply has not failed.
You should also check that the battery has not failed.

Cheers,
Roger
