Time trigger

Hi all,

I've been reading the DT800 manual to find out if I can somehow get the DT800 to start running a program at a specific time. For instance, we have to setup our DT800 package for a test flight.

However, the actual flight time varies from 30 minutes to 1 hour. We only get a certain time allotted for our package before another team takes their turn. If I can somehow tell the DT800 to start recording the data from our instruments at, say 40 minutes from now, then that will help us save on some battery charge.

Any tips? I've seen the scheduling trigger section in the manual, but it seems like it will only run a schedule at certain time intervals. For example, take a reading every 1 hour. I need something that can tell the DT800 to wake up in 40 minutes and run the program to record the readings from our instruments continuously until the battery charge runs out.

Thanks!

Good afternoon Qacer,

You can use alarm statements to start a schedule running at a specific time. The other option is to have the job run on reset and simply apply power to the DT800 when required and stop it with alarms.

Cheers,
Roger

Ahh, Thanks Roger!

I didn't bother looking at the alarms section because I thought it only referred to the characteristic of the data being returned from the sensors. I didn't realized that it is possible to trigger an alarm based on time. I'll have to check it out then.

Thanks!
