Status not returned for job warnings

When connecting to my DT800 by modem, I always get a status not returned warning, and frequently I get a status check error which then results in the connection being closed.

When the status warning is related to the currently running job, I can usually connect successfully. But when the warning is related to a job not currently running, the connection usually fails. Any idea what might be causing this problem?

A related question - After formatting the PC card and the internal RAM disk, I still see "ghosts" of previous programs when I check datataker status. I wonder if this could be related to the connection issue I'm having, and also why they don't disappear entirely when formatting both the the A: and B: disks. Are they in the flash memory?

Thanks,
Stu

Good morning Stu,

The status check error is usually due to the status not being returned before the DeLogger4 times out. Formatting the dataTaker internal drive will clear the old programs etc but not the information in DeLogger4.

If you have any view that refer to data from an old program then you will see an error message. For example if you have a trace on a chart that refers to a channel that is not in the current program then you will see an error.

Like wise if connect to the connection named DT800 Com1 and set up graphs and then next time you connect to a connection named Dt800 Com1 then you will see error messages because they are two different connection (DT800 and Dt800 are completely different to DeLogger)

You will need to check exactly what the error messages are referring to to work out what data on which view needs to be corrected.

Cheers,
Roger

Thanks Roger. It is true that I have views in DeLogger that are probably referring to previous versions of my program (I have been renaming the program sequentially as I update it to keep track of versions). I will clean that up and see if it resolves the problem.

Stu

Good morning Stu,

There are no known problems loading projects from previous versions of DeLogger4

Roger
