Real time on mimic

Hi,

I have two DT800 loggers which are both connected to a network through an Ethernet connection. i am connecting to the network from a PC in the office about 50 meters from the loggers.

All works well the live data can be streamed through and viewed in real-time but I cannot get the mimic to work at all from this connection as when I open the mimic window it displays the mimic dials/readings I have set up but there is no real-time data stream within the mimic.

The mimic works fine when I am connected directly with an RS232 connection on my laptop beside the loggers. I have noticed that upon opening Delogger pro on my office PC it does display on the tab that Delogger has loaded without live feed or something to that effect is flashes by quickly. Suggestions welcome.

Also I was wondering if it is possible to view a mimic from both dt800 loggers or some how link both together so that I may view both mimics within the one window or opening of Delogger Pro.

Regards,
Stephen

Good morning Stephen,

You need to create a mimic for each connection. While physically the dataTaker might be exactly the same just connected to a different connection, DeLogger4 has no way of knowing this, so each connection is unique and as its own mimics etc.

As for having mimics from more than once connection displayed in a windows yes you can. As each has a unique connection name just connect to both loggers and select what data source you want to show from the list.

Cheers,
Roger
