Simulated dataTaker for program checks

Hi,

Every time I need to change the program it needs to be tested on a real dataTaker, preferably with all the equipment connected.

Wouldn't it be nice and time saving(!) if you could simulate a dataTaker by a software package wherein analog inputs can be controlled by voltages, digital outputs are visualized by LEDs, digital inputs and counters can be controlled by switches.

Have a nice weekend!

This has come up before and although I agree it would be a good thing, it is also a massive task and I can't see it happening. You would have to port all of the DT firmware code over to a Windows OS 'DT emulation' application.

Doesn't hurt to keep asking though smile
