DT800 noise

I am using a DT800 in the 4-Wire BGV Input mode (Five Half-Bridges on a Channel Pair). Cable length = 24 metres, 3 core screened. I am using high quality 350 ohm resistors for bridge completion at the DT800.

Screen not connected to anything at the strain gauge sensors, but connected to Gu at DT800. P46=10. Operating in 50 Hz environment. Noise typical = 25 ppm or more. Sampling frequency about 15 Hz. Any suggestions?

Thank you.

Good morning Terry,

Is the wiring twisted pair? Apart from that you appear to have done every thing. You should try removing the 50 Hz noise source. I know that's not always possible, but you should keep the strain gauge cabling as far away as possible.

Cheers,
Roger
