Connection failure

I have successfully been using the DT800 to log & download Pressure data from 4 channels for the last 12 months until today?!

The data won't let me connect to my laptop via the USB cable. The error is "Auto baud detection rate not found", of course one is then automatically disconnected. I have tried forcing the connection, and then also resetting the properties on the connection settings but this does not seem to work?

I am definitely using the same serial port. Unsure why all of a sudden it is not letting me connect? Any suggestions?

Good morning Ruth,

The USB port on the DT800 is not functional. You must use a serial port on your computer or a USB to serial converter. One we supply please I have answered may support calls about connection problems to find it's the USB to serial converter.

You need to check:

  1. You have the correct serial cable.
  2. The serial port on the computer is working.
  3. The USB to serial converter is working.
  4. Check the serial port set up is 57600 baud 8,n,1 and Software flow control.
  5. Try a triple push reset on the DT800 and connecting.

If this one gets through then check the profile settings on the host port have not been changed.

Cheers,
Roger
