Vibration level that DT800 withstand

Hi,

Is there any information about the vibration levels that DT800 can perform its operation successfully when exposed? Can we use DT800 in flight test? Has anyone used DT800 under severe vibration conditions?

Thanks.
Sabri

The DT800 does not have a published vibration rating and has not been tested by Datataker to any Civil or Military vibration standard.

We are aware of the use of the DT800 in a number of applications that involve higher levels of vibration and acceleration but do not have specific withstand information.

These applications include NASA Space Shuttle flights, aerospace testing and military vehicle development. We do not know if the DT800 units used were modified as typically these applications involve a high level of secrecy.

Good afternoon sabrettin,

As Stephen said we have a number of people who are using the DT800 in vibration situations.

If you are worried about vibration then make a shock absorbed by gluing some rubber between two plates and then fasten the DT800 to one and mount the other on he vibrating surface. A soft spongy rubber will cut out the most vibration.

Cheers,
Roger

Thanks for your replies. I will use some dampers if we need to use DT800 in vibration conditions.

Best regards.,
Sabri
