Program protection

Hi,

I have a DT800 connected to an Ethernet network from which i am viewing real time data with the mimic screen. I have to now set up a display room for visitors to view the data from the the mimic on screen.

I have placed a PC in the room with Delogger Pro running which displays the mimics on screen for viewing. What i wish to do is to protect the DT800 program from unauthorized changes by visitors who may decide to play with the PC and cause problems to the DT800 program.

Can I password protect DT800 from changes or Delogger from changes or any further suggestions for protection.

Regards,
Stephen

Good morning Stephen,

If you are using DeLogger Pro then you can remove components like the program builder from the project. Click on File > Project Properties and then remove the program builder.

If you then remove the DeLogger Pro serial number it can't be access or added back in. When you want the program again just enter the serial number, restart DeLogger and add the builder back into the project.

There are other things you can do;
Cntr + Shift + L will lock the controls on DeLogger
Cntr + Shift + F will unlock the controls
Cntr + Shift + B will lock the window currently in focus (this is a toggle control).

For a full listing of the key codes open the DeLogger help go to topics > advanced > Key codes.

Cheers,
Roger
