Digital outputs from alarms

I have been trying with out much luck to get a alarm to give a digital output which i can use as a switch and later to feed into a XSMS modem.

Good afternoon Russell,

Take a look at page 184 of the DT800 manual for how to connect the output.

You need to know the maximum Voltage and Current load you are switching. If it is under 28 VDC and 100 mA maximum then you Ok. If it is over then you will need to switch a relay to switch the heavier loads.

1DSO=1 will turn the output off and 1DSO=0 will turn it on. This may seem a bit backwards but when the input is switched to the ground then the current will flow.

With the alarms the output will take the state of the alarm so to turn something on you need to invert the logic.
