Hi,

After getting my capacitance strain gage multiplexer system working the mechanical engineers have now given me another test!

They would like to now add 14 resistance 1/2 bridge strain gages (one active one dummy for temp. compensation) and 5 thermocouples to the all ready active one thermocouple, one full bridge gage and 4..20mA current loop running on my DT800.

I don't believe this amount of I/O can be supported by a DT800, is there an additional I/O extension module available or must I buy something else?

So you have

• 14x 1/2 bridge SG
• 6x Thermocouples
• 1x Full bridge
• 1x 4 to 20 mA

Yes the DT800 can read all this.

• 1/2 bridge SG's use wiring Fig 119 page 175 (6 channels)
• 6x thermocouples use wiring Fig 102 page 169 (2 channels)
• 1x Full bridge use wiring Fig 120 Page 176 (1 Channel)
• 1x 4- 20 mA use wiring Fig 105 page 105 (1 channel) (page numbers are those of the DT800 user manual)

Total channels used 10 out of possible 12.
