DT800 status fail messages

Hi,

Our DT800 gives FAIL for:

  • Analog Pos Supply 1.1 (FAIL)
  • Analog Neg Supply 0.7 (FAIL)
  • Common Mode Rejection Ratio 0.0 (FAIL)
  • DataTaker Health (FAIL)

Additionally we cannot take any analog signal from any analog channel. There is no problem with digital channels. We have started to get these fail messages after making several measurements using a wireless torque meter which was installed on a diesel aircraft engine for propeller torque measurements.

The details of the torque meter are as follows:

  • Power Supply: 10-32VDC (400mA at 12V)
  • Useful Signal Range: 0-5000 Hz
  • Lowpass Filter: f1=1Hz f2=1000 Hz f3=5000 Hz
  • Max. Analog Output Signal: 10V
  • Typical Gain: 2V/1000Nm
  • Transmission Frequency: HF Range el-m47

We have updated to the latest firmware and everything is still the same. What we should do to get DT800 health back?

Good evening Sabrettin,

Disconnect all sensors from the DT800 and run the test command again. If it fails then the logger needs to be returned for repair.

If it passes then there is a ground loop problem. Make sure you have connected the ground side of the sensor to the AC terminal.

Cheers,
Roger

Hi Roger,

Thanks for your quick response. DT800 gives the same fail status after disconnecting all sensors. We will return the logger for repair. And we have contacted with Turkey distributor for return procedure.

Regards,
Sabri
