Hi Roger,
We have purchased a DT800 dataTaker and are experiencing difficulty setting up the Ethernet communications on the device. I have followed the Ethernet comm setup procedure in the DT800 manual but fail to see the green led flashing on the Ethernet port of the DT800.
After a triple push reset we notice a solid amber LED light up on Ethernet port. If the Ethernet cable is unplugged the amber LED remains ON. We do not see any response from the green led on the DT800. On the router side both the green and amber LED's are turned OFF.
I am using the switch (link below) from Phoenix contact FL Switch SF 8TX part number 2832771 for Ethernet communication: http://eshop.phoenixcontact.com/phoenix/treeViewClick.do?from=dwl&action=assets&cat=pdf&UID=2832771&LANGUAGE=EN
The IP address of DT800 is set to 192.168.10.241 and PC at 192.168.10.240. When I ping DT800 IP we receive a request timed out message. The RS232 connection is working and we have setup the IP address subnet and gateway through the RS232 connection for the DT800.
Please help!
