T=1CV, T=1$, program setting time

How can one set the DT800 clock inside of a job? T=1CV and T=1$ both seem to generate the error "Illegal separator(s)". I've tried changing P39, too.

Should this work? Am I doing something wrong? I don't want to use the PC clock to set time, as it jumps around all over the place. In fact I'm trying to use the DT800 to help understand why the PC clock jumps.

Looking at shadows out the window seems a bit more accurate than the PC, but sometimes it's cloudy. I am watching my manual clock setting errors in the DT800 by timestamped readings of GPS NMEA outputs, but I wish I could close the loop inside the DT800.

Thanks!

Good afternoon Chris B,

You can do this with a DT80 but not the DT800. You can send the DT800 the command T=12:23:34 as a telnet session to update the time.

Cheers,
Roger
