Hello there.

I'm trying to setup the DeLogger OPC server (on a WinXP machine) following the instructions in the help file.

However, when I get to step 3 (registering the OPC server DLL) I get the following error: "DllRegisterServer in C:\Program Files\Datataker\DeLogger\opc server\deLoggerOPCServer.dll failed. Return code was: 0x80029c4a"

Can anyone help?

That's a error message generated by Windows. Check you have enough user rights to install DLL's. You may want to ask your network Admin for assistance.

Thanks for responding.

User rights is unlikely to be an issue as I have full admin rights on this computer. Also, the other dll (OPCProxy.dll) was registered to the system without any problems.

Do you have any other suggestions?

No other suggestions other than checking the DLL does exist and the file path is correct.

I have faced exactly the same problem (the same error code) on a winXP PC. OPCProxy.dll was registered without any problem but deloggerOPCServer. In order to eliminate typo erros I had moved to folder where the file is kept then typed the full path first time and only the file name for second time but the error remain.

You can see from the above image that the file path is correct and the file does exist.

Have you resolved your problem and how? Another question: instruction to install OPC server on Delogger help file was written for Win2000, can it be used for WinXP too?
