Hi I have a DT85 which i am logging some temperatures & solar radiance.
I have 3 schedules the first is a standard logging schedule at 15 minutes it simply logs the radiance and temperatures.
the second is the same channel setup except I am logging every second and using CV's to accumulate the total radiance.
The third schedule i wish to setup to log the following.
the average &
Our DT85 inexplicably neglected to log 7 minutes of data on a minute schedule. The last successful data record logged before the data loss had a time stamp of 12:00(noon). I glanced through the service log to see if there was an error around the time of the data loss and I found this:
2014/09/24,12:01:24
An error occurred at buf.c:19
Task: HTTP 2

Occasionally our DT85 will reset and we'll lose about 7 minutes of data. This shows up on the event log at the time of the data loss:
EVENT ,2014/10/16,12:27:21,0.755615,"No HTTP listener running: restarting"
EVENT ,2014/10/16,12:27:24,0.937377,"Reset 9.10.4890 PLL/WDOG/DEBUG (c860400d)"
I was told that the 9.14 firmware was buggy, therefore I downgraded the firmware to 9.10 thinking t
As part of my student project I'm trying to establish a communication between the DataTaker DT85 and Swegon modbus gateway connected to CASA
ventilation unit (this is the first time I'm working both with modbus protocol and DataTaker). The aim is to have the values measured by the sensors in the unit also logged by the data logger. However, I receive the error E124.

Hello -
I am having trouble upgrading the software on a DT85 (I believe series 1). S/N 083710
I normally use DeTransfer for a newer logger I have but the "upgrade firmware" function is grayed out when I connect.
I tried two different USB sticks - one was an 8 Gig which I understand is too big. I also tried a freshly formatted FAT32 256meg stick and it didn't work either. It just reads

I have some T/RH sensors (Precon HS-2000V) and want to connect them to the DT 85. But I don't know how to connect the four wires.

Hi Support,
I am trying to send the follow data to the RS485 port in HEX: 68 04 00 04 08 by sending \104\04\00\04\08
however it appears that only 68 04 04 08 is sent, the 0x00 in the middle was not sent.
Is there a workaround for this?
Thanks very much for the help

Hi,
I am using the +5V output to power a humidity sensor, I have used the command +5VSW=1 and set the logger up so that the 12V subsystem is continuously powered. However when I run the logger, the +5V works for short scan times (5secs) but for 15min scans the +5V does not switch on and so the sensor gives a bad reading.
Does whether having the USB connected affect whether the +5V SW is

Hi
I am looking to read PT100 sensors and digital inputs from a novus digiral module http://www.novus.com.br/site/default.asp?TroncoID=621808&SecaoID=819191&SubsecaoID=0&Template=../catalogos/layout_produto.asp&ProdutoID=748482
Can you confirm how this can be done with the dt85 sensor port I was looking at something like 1MODBUS(AD2,R1:1,=12CV) to read the digital state a
We want to use datalogger to measure two channels - load cell and strain gage simultaneously, with a schedule such that, the data is recorded on a switch press and not at a fixed time interval.
I was reading the manual and I found that schedules can be triggered on external events, (Pg - 43 of DT-80 Users manual).
I feel a trigger on switch press should be "Trigger on rising transition
Huge Fluctuations in measurement. I have connected strain Gage and full bridge load cell for measurement.
noticing very high fluctuation in the measurement. If I touch the DAQ body, strain values and all other sensor values whatever connected in DAQ is varying heavily. I have done the ground connection also. still variations in strain measurements is very high.
It is not because of tempe
After downgrading our firmware to 9.10.4890 per Datataker tech support recommendation our DT85 (series 3) is going through resets about every four days causing the loss of data during the reset.
In the event log the reset error is "Reset 9.10.4890 PLL/WDOG/DEBUG (c860400d)".
Currently we have two schedules running; one 15 sec and one 1 min. In the 15 sec. we read 12 analog and 4 modbus c
We have a similar issue with the logger stopping to respond to be read through Modbus TCP/IP.
The logger works fine for 24-48 hours and then stops communicating over the Modbus TCPIP.
The setup we are using a DT85 connected to 16 CEM channels – a total of 400 HV I/O (we are reading 4-20mA pressures transmitters over a 250Ohm resistor).
The DT85 is connected via a freewave radio and

I have contacted technical support in relation to this issue, but this is a more general question regarding current loops.
When you configure a channel for a current loop (as opposed to a current input), without any scaling, the logger should be 'reading' a 0-100% figure. This is related to the 4-20mA range of these current loop sensors. Is that correct?
If I have configured channels for

Hello,
I have searched high and low in the manual and FAQ without luck. The DT85 Series 2 has TWO power supply inputs for the switched excitation and shunt resistor. They are labeled exactly the same (EXT * and EXT #).
My question: Are these inputs tied together (is one EXT * electrically equivalent to the other)? Is one power input used for certain analog channels? If I am using switch

Hi all, hope that somebody can help me with this
I'm using analog sensors connected to a Voltage amplifier with a three conductor cable, one to signal out, one to ground and the third for power supply. The amplifier has an terminal to connect the power supply input +DC voltage (Vcc 5-24 VDC), but is not clear for me to which terminal in the datataker would correspond the power supply connecti
I hope everyone is doing well.
I have the DT85 series 3 dataTaker and I would like to hook up string pots to it for our testing lab. I have no experience with the data taker and would love any help anyone can provide
I've emailed tech support and they suggested that it might by a voltage divider pot but I'm sure that it reads resistance. I even placed a multi-meter across the green and

Hi
I have a dt85 whereby it is continually crashing and stops logging cannot be connected to, & front panel becomes non responsive.
the only way to get the logger back on line is to preform a reset and once this is done the logger reverts back to a much older date.
I have checked various possible causes but to no avail, I also have a UPS backup system on the logger but the problem p

I've am attempting to connect to a new DT85 Series 4, but I'm having trouble connecting to it via USB and via Ethernet. My laptop has Windows 10 OS.
I have DeLogger, DTUSB and DeTransfer all installed. I have set Internet Explorer 11 as my default browser as that seems to be the preferred browser.
When I plug in via USB the dtUSB app starts in the background. When I open it up it looks li
I have a DT85 series 4 running v9.20
Whilst the logger is logging i want to unload a time frame of data. i try to connect via Ethernet and the address displayed on the LCD screen. the browser tries to go through its usual process but doesn't display the usual configure, monitor page?
i had to perform a hard reset which as a result looses all data stored.
i have the logger set for 5 s
