Hi,
I would like to know if there are any ways we can limit people from changing the measurement settings using the web server in DT. Currently, everyone who knows the IP address can go in and change anything they want. What we want to do is, to limit unauthorised people from changing any setting. They can only view the measurements.

Hello,
we have implemented a DT80 in our system, where we have 14 modbus RS485 slaves.
Main settings are:
Statistics
Rate of statistical schedule 1 seconds
Sensor port
Modbus mast, 9600bps, 8 databits, 2 stop bits, parity none, mode RS-485, flow control none
Schedule rate 5 seconds (reading modbus and analog channels)
Schedule rate 10 minutes (logging averages)

G'Day,
I have an indoor/outdoor thermometer which is no longer working, the probe however is fine. I was wondering if it would be possible to connect this probe up to my DT80s2 & get temperature readings from this sensor? If so, how might I go about connecting this to my logger & code?
I have tried many things from the manual in the 2-wire RTD section, so far without success.

Dear sir or madam
which software can read *.dbd file that transferred from DT80 to usb flash memory?
Thanks a lot

Hello,
I would like to write data to a sub directory on an FTP server but can not get it to write to below top level I have tried 2 methods:
1 DO{COPYD job=subdir merge=N ID=1 start=NEW dest=ftp://user:pw@xxxx.co.nz/httpdocs/}
2 DO{COPYD merge=N ID=1 start=NEW dest=ftp://user:pw@xxxx.co.nz/httpdocs/subdir/}
The program will not run with either of these.
Also it would be nice if

I am very new to using datataker and have been given the task of updating an existing set of schedules. the current setup works fine but requires some modifications that would provide more appropriate information.
We are using a DT80, which is connected to a Vaisala WXT520 via SDI12
Data is being collected every second with average values logged for each 1 minute period.
At present the
Hello,
I'm just wanting to check that I haven't got hold of the wrong end of the stick here.
We're looking at monitoring some Decagon 10HS sensors with a DT80 or DT82E. This is a 3 wire sensor with the following attributes:
Measurement Time 10 ms
Power requirements 3 VDC @ 12 mA to 15 VDC @ 15 mA
Output 300 - 1250 mV, independent of excitation voltage
I'm thinking I could con

Hallo,
Can you include a PPP-Client in the TD8x range? Is it possible or can you implement it in the future?
Backround: I would like initiate a PPP-connection to a PPP-Server from the DT8X when a alarm is set to high. After that I would like start a data-ftp-transfer or something else (smtp,...) over the TCP-protocol. I have only a PSTN modem connection.
Thanks for your answers.

Hi,
I removed the internal 6 V SLA battery from a DT80 Series II. The absence of the battery does not appear to be of concern to the logger!
The Lithium battery also needs attention it appears.
VEXT 18.7 V
VBAT (6V) 6.71 V PASS
IBAT +17 mA PASS
VSYS 7.02 V PASS
VLITH (3.6V) 1.68 V FAIL

Hello,
I would like a little bit of help here for my DT80 logger. I want to activate the FTP module for remote access. I have already connected it to the internet, just the configuration is giving me headache.
This is how i tried to do it:
BEGIN "FTP"
LOGON
2(A)
2(B) [0:0:12]
DO {
COPYD start=new dest=ftp://SolarHouz:dt80_SolarTNBR@XXXX.XXXX.XXXX.XXXX
}
END
Hi Guys, I have a series 1 DT80 that I'm about to put to use in a different application than it was purchased for, we used to use delogger pro to program the device, is this still the best method or should i just use detransfer to upload new jobs once i have changed it ??
Also looking for anyone who has used a cheap wind speed meter etc, or is it easy enough to interface with the wind speed a

Hi dataTakers,
We are adding a new CEM and to an existing logger for probes that are about 50 metres from the logger. Will there be problems with signal loss etc if we make a base the CEM near the probes and make a longer CEM to base connection. ie use only one long CEM to dt80 cable vs long cables for 18 sensors.
Thanks
Tom
A failed attempt at up grading to version 9 firmware has resulted in the DT80 being stuck in a loop.
The bootloader fails with an error of L6 ( not always ). The bootloader then starts over again. The DT80 will not read the files from the memory stick.
Is there a way of breaking the cycle? How can the memory be re-flashed when the com's have not been configured?

Hi all,
I am setting up our DT80 to communicate with a plant's Citect SCADA system via MODBUS.
The unit is communicating with the system fine, as some values are being displayed while some are not.
We are trying to display 5 different numbers, each assigned to a CV within the DT80.
My question is in regard to the Modbus registers and what determines an input or an output register?
Hello!
I need help solving a problem with my DT80.
This is the situation, i have 1 DT80, 1 router 3G, and they are connected by ethernet.
Now the DT can send email, ftp transfer, but i still can get remote access to the DT.
The Router 3G has DDNS configuration, and using no-ip hostname, i can see it's IP.
And i know that i can connect to the router 3G because when i do it, i see t
Hello!
I have DT82, with internet connection.
I would like to send values of CV to a php page, but i don't know if it's possible for the DT82 to do that.
Does anyone know ?

Hi,
currently put my dt80 at site, and some sites is hard to reach by telco. i'm using dt80 + digi connect wan 3g or dt80M...
sometimes, its hard to get connected or status check failed for using delogger or dt-usb (dexview)
so i'm using hyper terminal if that happen.
can you list down some important commands for hyper terminal that can works with datataker.

Dear DT users/instructors,
I would like to clarify about electrical energy calculation in DT. I have connected voltage and current sensor to the data logger. I would like to calculate the energy consumed. I read the example in the DT manual. In that example, at interval of 20sec, integration (IB) function is used to calculate the energy.
Using this method, it is calculating the are under
Hi,
Normally DT is calibrated until it's input connection terminal. That means the reading is taken at the connection terminal. Is it possible to calibrate the DT with the external wiring. What I am trying to do is to extend the input point. In this case, the external wire resistance is effecting the reading. It is a small effect only, if I want to correct it, is there any way?
