Often I face this difficulty, when the DT is doing it's operation of data logging, it takes very long time to get connected using the web interface. Probably the DT is to busy to entertain other request.

Is there any way,we can halt/suspend it's operation so that we can get connected using web interface, maybe by using the keypad? Or is there any other way to get around it.

I have a meter which gives pulse output from open collector transistor. I want to connect this to channel 1C (HSC). The problem is the transistor works from 8 to 40VDC only. The 1C internal supply from datataker is 3V only. How can I wire them to work?

Is there a way to make notes at certain points in the data? For example say I am running a system taking data and want to keep taking data while I make a change to the system to see what effects the change has, can I make an annotation somewhere in the datataker file so when I go back an look at the data the point in the data where the change was made is tagged?

we have a DT80 logger measuring temperature, Can we use it to log 3 phase 400v current max will not exceed 300amp.
what do we have to do to log this, and how.

Hi,

I'm having a frustrating issue that the manual explicitly says is possible, unless i'm mis-interpreting the manual.
p359 of UM-0085-B8

I have a serial sensor that outputs various NMEA0183 at different times and no particular order, so i'm trying to set up different schedules that are triggered when the respective message header $----- string arrives at the serial sensor port.

here what what I need to do. I have 4 thermocouples they are channels 2,3,5,6. I need to be able to have the datataker decide when the temperature has leveled off on all of them. The way I would do this in a high level language would be to have 4 lists each 5 variables long.

Then each sample would be pushed on to the list and the oldest one dropped off. Then just do a comparison each time to

Hi

I am pretty new to Datatakers and have only used SDI-12 sensors with one output. If you have and SDI-12 sensor with two measurement outputs, say Temp and Humidity, do you have to have a separate register index or register set for each measurement?

Regards, Rohan

The last days I cannot access the DT8X loggers with DEX. I have tried from different computers with Chrome and IE. If I ping the loggers they are there with access times < 15 ms. What can be the problem?

Hello

I am attempting to wire the CS616 to the DT80.
I am using the shared channel wiring measuring frequency and applying the polynomial y = k0 + k1 x + k2 x2, where k0 = -0.0663, k1 = -0.0063 and k2 =0.0007 (as per the manuals calibration curve states).

I have the signal in the - , the orange (control/excitation) in the #, the power in the 12 volt output of the logger, the clear and

Hey,

Radiometers due to their measurement method, send negative values during night and during cloudy periods depending on the ambient temperature.
This brings a problem when calculating statistical values, especially during sunrise and sunset.

To overcome this problem I set up an 1S schedule that transforms negative values into 0 and store them into a new CV that will be used in the ho

G'Day,

I run a DT80 series 2 which is connected to a wireless router & recently lost my comms link with my main computer. I'm guessing this is a computer problem however due to aging hardware.

Anyway, I'm also unable to (fully) link up with my much newer laptop. I am able to login to my DT80 via wireless & browse in general but am unable to send commands & receive replies both

Hi,
I am doing a remote access experiment. There are few things I would like to clarify. I am using MC35i modem and DT80 series 3 with latest firmware.

What are the possibilities of remote access are available with this combination?

1) PPP connection from PC to DT with 2 modems at each ends.
2) email data using IP.
3) Remote access to Dex from any internet PC, using the IP addres

I am trying to get a Decagon GS3 soil water content/temperature/EC probe to communicate with a DT80-v2. The firmware on the DT80 is V9.08 and the probe information says it can be used in continuous mode and uses SDI12 v. 1.3 . I set the probe ID to 1 and hooked it up to D5 (ground in digital ground) and the 12V power. It should return a single string of 3 variables. When I call the probe it retur

Hello,

I have a series 1 DT85 v6.18 that I would like to assign an IP address via USB connection. My computer runs Windows 7 with a static IP address of 192.168.2.3. I am having a very difficult time setting the IP address. The command I send is the following, and once sent and DT85 reboots then I type IP and it echoes 0.0.0.0.

PROFILE"ETHERNET""IP_ADDRESS"="192.168.2.2"

G'Day,

I just performed a 'hard reset' on my DT80s2 over an hour ago & now my sensors that require power (via the 12v port) are not working.

I have checked the power status via the '1SSPWR' command & all is good. I have also physically tested the port with a volt meter & got a reading of 11.93V which also seems correct.

I even just tried swapping the green ports over but s

Hi,

I have 2 issues here.
1) There is a DT at one of our remote location. We set it to send email everyday midnight. It is doing this well, but we are not able to get connected to the DEX. We are able to ping it and we are able to ftp it also. My VSAT supplier suspect that the DT's web server could be hang and need restart. Is there any way that we can do a restart remotely (without loggi

We are using VSAT at 4 remote sites using DT80. The modem is connected to DT's ethernet port. They are using port forwarding as you can see in the below.

Hi,

I would like to name my COPYD file name as the date (eg. 09022014.csv). I am not interested with the date+time (which is the default name). I'm interested in the date only because I unload the data only once a day. Anyway this can be done?
