Hey,

Radiometers due to their measurement method, send negative values during night and during cloudy periods depending on the ambient temperature.
This brings a problem when calculating statistical values,especially during sunrise and sunset.

To overcome this problem I set up an 1S schedule that transforms negative values into 0 and store them into a new CV that will be used in the ho

G'Day,

I run a DT80 series 2 which is connected to a wireless router & recently lost my comms link with my main computer. I'm guessing this is a computer problem however due to aging hardware.

Anyway, I'm also unable to (fully) link up with my much newer laptop. I am able to login to my DT80 via wireless & browse in general but am unable to send commands & receive replies both

Hi,
I am doing a remote access experiment. There are few things I would like to clarify. I am using MC35i modem and DT80 series 3 with latest firmware.

What are the possibilities of remote access are available with this combination?

1) PPP connection from PC to DT with 2 modems at each ends.
2) email data using IP.
3) Remote access to Dex from any internet PC, using the IP addres

I am trying to get a Decagon GS3 soil water content/temperature/EC probe to communicate with a DT80-v2. The firmware on the DT80 is V9.08 and the probe information says it can be used in continuous mode and uses SDI12 v. 1.3 . I set the probe ID to 1 and hooked it up to D5 (ground in digital ground) and the 12V power. It should return a single string of 3 variables. When I call the probe it retur

Hello,

I have a series 1 DT85 v6.18 that I would like to assign an IP address via USB connection. My computer runs Windows 7 with a static IP address of 192.168.2.3. I am having a very difficult time setting the IP address. The command I send is the following, and once sent and DT85 reboots then I type IP and it echoes 0.0.0.0.

PROFILE"ETHERNET""IP_ADDRESS"="192.168.2.2"

G'Day,

I just performed a 'hard reset' on my DT80s2 over an hour ago & now my sensors that require power (via the 12v port) are not working.

I have checked the power status via the '1SSPWR' command & all is good. I have also physically tested the port with a volt meter & got a reading of 11.93V which also seems correct.

I even just tried swapping the green ports over but s

Hi,

I have 2 issues here.
1) There is a DT at one of our remote location. We set it to send email everyday midnight. It is doing this well, but we are not able to get connected to the DEX. We are able to ping it and we are able to ftp it also. My VSAT supplier suspect that the DT's web server could be hang and need restart. Is there any way that we can do a restart remotely (without loggi

We are using VSAT at 4 remote sites using DT80. The modem is connected to DT's ethernet port. They are using port forwarding as you can see in the below.

Hi,

I would like to name my COPYD file name as the date (eg. 09022014.csv). I am not interested with the date+time (which is the default name). I'm interested in the date only because I unload the data only once a day. Anyway this can be done?

Hi,

I am wondering whether we can configure DT to let 2 MODBUS TCP/IP Master to access to it's registers. That means we have to configure two ports (502 and another). Can we do this?

Hello,

yesterday I got a new DT80 with Firmware V9.10.
Also I saw a few topics with the subject * firmware V9.10.

On the homepage "datataker.com" I can see only the download link for V9.08.
Is the firmware V9.10 downloadable from the homepage of datataker?
What are the news in this firmware?

Thanks

PS: few minutes later I was on the ftp-server of the DT80 and saw

Hello,

I have moved to a new RS485 device that is sending data to a DT80.

In the past I used an RS232 device and it worked correctly.

The issue is with reading the packets of data and storing them into CVs. The old RS232 device used ";+" between the data to break up each value, then it could be stored into separate CVs.
I simply put these in between each serial input command and

Hi all, am new to Instrumentation and the world of Datatakers so please be gentle with me!

I have been trying to find a way of logging the o/p of an anemometer with a DT80, it produces an frequency o/p between 4.9 -34Hz (equivalent to 3.9-26m/s) which sits on a variable o/p voltage of a couple of hundred mV.
I am struggling to find a way of setting the DT80 up to give me a m/s output, have

I'm new to using DataTakers.

We have new DT85M and DT80M [with V9.16]

We have devices that measure both strain (full bridge) and temperature from the one power supply.

Wiring cores for the sensors:
Screen = "Terminated at computer"
Pink = 5v dc Power
Grey = 0v
Green = Strain +ve
White = Strain -ve
Blue = Temperature

We assume the wiring for a DT

Hello,

Quite a virgin with this so experiencing lots of challenges. We have a DT80 who has to log several items from our TDS100 heatmeters. Connected over RS485, each has its individual address (1 to 4) and comms over Modbus protocol. TDS uses Modbus RTU where the DT is set as Modbus master (or slave?). The TDS do see the DT80, they respond to 1MODBUS (AD3) etc but we cannot seem to get the r
