Hi,
I'm trying to convert one of the serial command to the data taker command.
Kindly advise if my translation command is wrong.

Serial Command is :-
AT+CMGS=<+60174365685><CR><message><CTRL-Z>

If convert it to data taker command, it should be :-
2SERIAL("{AT+CMGS=+60174365685^M}{TESTING^Z}")

Is it correct ?

Regards,
WanRosli

Hi,

we have an DT80 in the outback. 2 times in 3 month we had an failure (see subject). The logger send normally every day data to ftp-server and weekly an email without problems. Firmware is 9.18.6291. Have anyone the same problem or a suggestion? After re-input via keyboard the communication works again or we restarting the system.

Thanks Volker

Hi,

I've found when opening files from logger that some fields appear to have reset to default such as:

the time i had set to trigger an ftp upload resets to 00:00

the drop down box beside the Send type changes from "immediately via modem" to Ethernet, I've noticed this also happens just by changing tabs

also when viewing the csv created by the logger there is a column titled TZ w

Hello all

I have a DT80M that we are using to monitor a shipment during road transport. We take a number of readings such as GPS data, A couple of pressure readings, Temperature, humidity, Accelerometer and a battery voltage.

I am having troubles with the GPS data. It only takes the first reading when the Datataker is turned on and either never tries again or doesn't save the changes in t

Hello,

I'm new to DataTaker programming and need some help with the AND operator:
The next line gives me an error and I can not figure out why:
IF((599CV==93)and(600CV==0)){600CV=1;XB}

Just testing to expressions and if result of both is "1": set 600CV to 1 and execute XB.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

Have a question regarding logged data.
If I look at the csv file then it seems that sometimes data is shown with different numbers of digits in the same column while the real value does not change.

Please have a look at the attached document. For example the MS Battery Voltage column. Sometimes the data is shown with 5 digits then with 8 digits. While the sampled real value does

Hi there,

it is possible to send the event- and error logs per Email, triggered by a regular job schedule? Our system sends the measurement data on a regular basis via email, and it would be nice to have the logs available, too, in case something brakes. As far as I understood from the manual, the COPY command can only upload to an ftp server. Do you have any suggestions?

Thanks for your

Hi
I have programmed a dt80m and I have various alarms which when activated are to send out an sms to 3 different numbers. within the output of alarm I have added 3 separate sms one for each mobile number as the sms output has provision for only one number. however when the alarm becomes true the dt80m attempts to send the 3 sms alerts but generally will get one out1 or 2 and sometime none as

Hi,
I need to use DT80M in area where there is no 3G coverage. At a similar location, we are using DT80 with external GSM modem connected to host port and using dial up connection to save the data remotely. Can we use the same approach with DT80M?

The SIM card also without GPRS service. It has only voice number and data dial up number.

Hi,

I am using the DT80M for a weather station and I don't want to use the in-built modem.

How to turn the modem off permanently ?

Because it keeps trying to connect, it sends these ghost strings - "SESSION FAILED - sim problem, will retry" error messages and throws off the server that I run downstream.

Kindly let me know how to disable the modem ?

I experience this situation from time to time and there is no documented solution when the DT is operating in a remote monitoring situation.
What is the best and definitive way to prepare the DT to deal with this situation itself if it eventuates?
I want to avoid a hard reset though. That is problematic. Is there a "soft reset" option possible.

Hello,
I m trying to configure my own "CSV" format file. As far as I know, the predefined CSV format in DT is fixed, so that I cant for example remove the TZ column, or include a column with the JOB name... and so on. Thus, I have thought to use free format mode, and format data like a CSV (, separated values) and then upload to the FTP server with *.csv extension. However, using free format m

Hello,

I am having serious issues with the DT80M modem. I have got 2 systems deployed on field, configured and programmed correctly. When we come back to the office (after installing on field), we track the systems through the interface. Everything goes ok, but suddenly the connection is lost. So we had to move to the field and check what happened. Surprisingly, both the modem and the interna

Hello. I am new to the DT80M having just returned to DT's since the DT50 era in the early 1990's.

I am developing a remote monitoring and control strategy for an Off Grid Renewable Energy solution that must have communications redundancy built into it to move at least a bit closer to a "mission critical" level of communications confidence. This is best achieved by having two different methods

Retrieving Datataker data direct into an Excel Worksheet in real time for any Excel process including real time data graphing was once a very simple process, setup by using a Datataker supplied ActiveX Control [datataker.ocx].

Maybe it still is an easy process, but I haven't been able to find any contemporary documentation on the subject.

What made the dataker.ocx so useful was that it a

Hi members.

I need to do a preliminary evaluation of the quality of Cellular Signal available at a specific location to establish a "Signal Profile" for the location. This is an important preliminary test to gauge how reliable the communications will be. A week of data gathered and reported every hour by email will establish a reliable base line to evaluate.

I am thinking that the way to
