Good day, can you assist please, i installed my DT80 in a truck to record data. Logger stopped recording, i set limit at 30Mb and programmed to stop recording when limit is reached. When i tried to download data through Dex 2, logger just hanged, did not download. I tried USB, download started but when i pushed X to light up the screen to check status, download stopped and setup cleared. I urgently need the data, but scared if i re-load setup through Dex2 previous data will be gone. Have tried through browser as well but ask for flash player-which is not available any more

You should not resend the configuration to the logger again when the old configuration already has some data because it will wipe the data.

There could be some issues when logging the data, since downloading process via dEX 2.0 and USB failed, you can try to extract the database file directly. Please access the logger FTP server using the File Explorer (of your Windows) by typing:
ftp://DATATAKER:DATATAKER@address/. The address is your logger IP address.

You will be able to see the directory structure of the internal memory, go to the JOBS folder and find the CONFIG sub folder. Within that sub folder, you will see a set of folders indicating the schedule declaration of your configuration. Each schedule folder wil hold a DBD file, extract the file into your PC.

After you got those DBD files, use dump_DBD software to decode it. We will assist you further when you reach this point.

Thank you very much for advise on downloading the data from my DT80. I managed to download the .dbd file OK. I however have an issue to convert it to .csv - followed the instructions on the website: Extract zip file into DBD folder on C drive, saved the data i downloaded also in the DBD folder, then opened command window and typed command "cd C:DBD dump_dbd -d -n data_a.dbd" - where DATA_A is the downloaded data file. Just get reply " The system cannot find the path specified". Tried on my work Windows 10 PC and on my personal PC with Windows 11. What am i doing wrong?

The syntax for dumpDBD script was incorrect, it should be dump_dbd -d -n data_a.dbd>>data_a.csv. But make sure to move to the folder where the dumpDBD and the DBD files are located.

I figured the syntax was wrong, managed to get the program to convert the data to .csv, just did not know the command to save it as a .csv. Apologies, bit handicapped on the programming side . . .
I used syntax "dump_dbd -d -n data_a.dbd, then could see data as well as time signature i.e. date and time. But of course then have to copy from the command prompt page manually to Excel - a very tedious process . . .
If i use the command you suggested "dump_dbd -d -n data_a.dbd>>data_a.csv", the .csv data is exported to the DBD folder as a seperate file OK - but i loose the timestamp? Still some time sequence info but not related to date and time?
I tried other letters like -h, -v, -i in the syntax but no luck. Any idea how i can sort that?

You will not lose the timestamp, please try to open the CSV file using a notepad instead of Excel. In Excel you will only see minute and second information due to the cell format setting, if you change it you can get date and hour as well.
