Modem Update

We have some DT82EM with older Firmware.
I have upgraded the logger firmware to version V9.18 first, then the modem firmware to version R7.53 (both downloaded from the Datataker website).
After updating the modem the display says "Firmware update failed", but the modem seems to work properly.
I checked the firmware version with

MODEM ON
MODEM FIRMWARE
and got the answer:
B7.53.0.201502160745.FX100

Regarding to your modem upgrade instructions for DT8x models FX100 I should expect "R7.53.0.201502160745.FX100 1825268 021615 07:45"

Definitely a FX100 is built in.
Do I have a wrong version installed?

Kind regards
Juergen

Hi Juergen,

"Update failed" message may be related to modem baudrate.
Can you please follow the instruction in modem manual to reinitialise the modem baudrate?

Change the Modem baud rate
PROFILE MODEM BPS =115200

Send Following commands to logger
MODEM ON
SSDIRECT 2
AT+IPR=230400;&W
ENDSSDIRECT
MODEM OFF
PROFILE MODEM BPS =230400

Reset the Logger using
HRESET

Notes:

  • Your case may not related to port setting since the modem reply with firmware version.
  • Modem firmware command will return the firmware version and installation time, do not need to worry about the missing installation time.

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan
