FTP Upload

We currently have DT80G devices in the field that upload to a FTP server. Is there a way to use a more secure upload channel?

I am still wrapping my head around this but there appears to be devices that can connect to MODBUS and could then handle the uploads. But I am not sure how all this stuff works and if I even technically understand how these things work

Hi jc42,

Unfortunately, DT is not compatible with FTPS or SFTP, but you can set up a VPN to secure the connection with the FTP server.

It is possible to utilize the Ethernet port for FTP transfer and MODBUS, however, you need to ensure sufficient time for FTP transfer before triggering the MODBUS reading.
