V/I DAC dynamic adjustement
DAC

Hi,
In order to drive cooling fans for my system, I need a dynamic voltage output (2 different values) depending on measured temperature.
I have a DT80 series 4 logging temperature values.
I was wondering if the DAC could achieves this function using alarms?
I was only able to set the dac output value with manual commands, and the doculmentation is not really exhaustive on how to drive it.

If it is possible, could you provide exemples?

Thanks,

Theo

Hi Theo,

Driving the fan based on temperature reading is possible. If the fan is a multispeed fan with various input voltages, you can link the temperature reading to the voltage output VDAC/ IDAC.

For example, you want to provide different voltage DC signals (0-1000 mV) related to temperature with a range of 0 – 50 degC

S1=0,1000,0,50
RA1M
1TK(=1CV,S1)
VDAC(W)=1CV
