Using GPS to control Datataker data recording

Hi
I am working on a train project presently trying to program my dt80m3-3 with code to take in GPS data and use that data to monitor and record train speed and trigger appropriate data storage responses depending on train stop/run. Also want to record GPS position.
Can someone please assist with some appropriate coding. I am using deX-2.

Hi BTRail,

We are sorry for the response delay, there was some backend issue on our side that need to get sorted.

We presume GPS data is related to NMEA0183 messages, you can capture the incoming message and decode it using a serial syntax. If you want to capture speed then $GPVTG should be the one you need to mark, capture and decode.

Please check the information about NMEA0183 messages: http://aprs.gids.nl/nmea/

Best regards,
