When running a job on our Data Taker the device gives the error "SW Exception". We are using the latest version of the firmware 9.22.9125

The event log contains the following message:

Does this occur if there are too many events happening in a short time frame, which causes an overflow exception? If so, are there any options other than reducing the number of events.

The issue relates to the parsing error of the HTTP date/ time format which somehow differs from the one set in the logger. I am not sure whether this date/ time information has been requested by the logger or if it is a periodic update by the server in the network.

If you receive similar errors with the same entries multiple times, there seems a fault in passing the information from the network to the logger for updating time. First thing please check the interval of occurrence to get more information.

Thank you very much for your response. I'm not sure what you mean by if the date\time information has been requested by the logger. FYI we run the job on a 5 second interval - Is that what you mean by the interval occurrence?

Also, when you mentioned the HTTP date/time format do you the HTTP Header value? IE The time that it was sent?

Hi Stuart,

We are uncertain about the communication related to HTTP date/ time because our observation indicates this issue does not occur on all networks. At the same time, we cannot trap the fault when we cannot produce it in-house.

May I know if you connect the logger through an Ethernet all the time? Can you send a complete service log to datataker.support@thermofisher.com?
