Logging Hobut M850 power meter data with Dt80 via RS485

Hello, I am trying to log the voltage current and power data from the m850 power meter via rs485 with a dt80 logger. I found some code examples and put the following code together. I have linked the manual with the modbus register list. Can any one say if this should work? Any Help most welcome

Hi CraigMali,

The program is correct, if you look at page 48 in the "register" column the address starts from 0 (not 30000), and you can use the 3X column to locate the "register address" for dataTaker.

From table V1, I1 and kW are the fourth, seventh, and tenth values. The critical component in your integration work is port setting matching between the logger and the sensor. Also, the wiring arrangement. You may need to do a bit of trial and error to get it right.

Best regards,
dataTaker Expert
