Hello,

I am having trouble setting up a pressure transducer to the DataTaker DT80 series 4. Using dEX logger software 1.85.002 version.

What I have been doing is trying to use a current-loop with a 100 ohm resistor between the + and - pins, I chose the first schematic in the 'Define' tab and made sure to specify that the external shunt resistor value is 100 ohm. When scaling is disabled, the output is reading 0 mA or very close to 0mA when it is supposed to be reading something above 4 mA. The sensor has a certification of calibration, too.

Any help would be very much appreciated.

Hi Theodore,

There is a possibility the sensor output requires a trigger, such as a close circuit with a power supply. Without a PS, it won't work, and you get 0 mA.
