Modbus TCP/IP two devices

Hi,

I need to set up two PLCs to read data from DT85LM3-4 via Modbus TCP/IP. When both PLCs try to read data, only one works. Is it possible to set this up, or shall I try another solution?

Best regards,
Filip

Hi Filip,

We apologize for the late response since we did not attend this forum. Please send your question directly to datataker.support@thermofisher.com if you haven't received any response from us.

Connecting two PLCs on the logger is possible, but you need to arrange the request timing because the logger can only respond to one request at a time. One of the solutions is using different ports for communication; one PLC uses MODBUS TCP, while the second uses MODBUS TCP.

The other solution is letting the logger write data to both PLCs, which the logger has control, and you do not need to have a timing arrangement.
