Hi, I I've just been given a DT85 for my work. Looks brand new but I think it is an older model. I cannot seem to connect to it. The IP address changes in accordance with whether I connect directly to the computer to to the network using an ethernet cable, but it stays stubbornly offline, and the console shows Error 404 as it tries to connect. I have opened Port 80 for inbound and outbound but still no cigar.
The firmware is showing as Version 9.22. The date is showing as 01/10/1989 and the serial number is 083864. I've seen on this forum that Series 1 loggers do not work with dEX-2. Questions:
- How do I know what series this datalogger is?
- Is it true that dEX-2 will not work with it if it is a Series 1
- If I can't use dEX-2, what can I use? ...... or have I been given a pup and I should bin it off.
