Testing Modem with FTP Resets Device and Clears Memory

Just purchased a DT82EM and having huge issues with it. I upgraded to 9.10 firmware that i was told would resolve the resetting issue.
Essentially as the modem is being tested when it gets to the FTP section the datataker resets and flashes the lights. When it finishes rebooting it displays a message that the datataker was restarted and that memory was cleared.

Any thoughts on how to fix this?

FYI i also have 2 DT80M units in the field working properly with FTP for 2 years with software 9.08. Is this a DT82EM issue only?

Good afternoon dtharper,

The memory cleared error is usually due to the Lithium battery being flat.
The Linthium battery is a 1/2 AA 3.6 VDC
Instruction on replacing it are on pages 268 & 269 of the DT80 User manual (UM-0085 - B7)

The modem problem is more unusual
Can you please email support so we can discuss this further?

Cheers

Roger
