DT80 Series 4 not connecting to dEX

I have a new DT80 series 4 and have followed the steps outlined in the manual, but it doesn't connect to dEX-2. The datalogger is version 9.22, and i have tried both using the usb and ethernet cables, with the respective I.P addresses provided (dtUSB indicates 127.1.1.1 and command port 7700, ethernet). When adding the device on dEX-2, the tile indicator remains red and when testing the connectivity, the only notice that appears is "Heartbeating device..."
Is there a step that I'm missing or a driver that needs to be installed? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi WRMT,

Can you please open up DTUsb application and check if the allocated port is 80, 7700, 502, and 21. Because if one of your software uses port 80, the DTUsb will allocate port 81 for the logger.

Hi,

Thanks for the response. DTUsb shows that command port is 7700 and modbus port is 502. Have tried connecting using both ports 80 and 81 without success.

Thanks,
WRMT

Hi WRMT,

There are several possibilities:

  1. The driver that come with DTUsb is not properly installed, you can check for any warning sign at the Device Manager - reinstall the firmware.
  2. A corrupted firmware which may happen during reinstallation, you will need to reinstall the firmware.
  3. A antivirus software that block port 80, you may need to create an exception rule.
  4. An outdated dEX 2.0, please install the latest v2.1.36.

Have you tried to use the Ethernet connection?
