Programming a CEM20 with dEX

Using dEX, how does one programming the channels for a connected CEM20 module? Is this even possible?

For future reference, I believe I have found a solution.

In dEX, there is an option in the 'Add' menu for a manual channel. You can use this type of channel to apply the dataTaker programming language to a channel. In the user manual for the DT80 series, there is a section on the CEM20 module, and it discusses how to address inputs on the module.

One of the gurus, please correct me if I am wrong. Unfortunately, I did not get to test this capability yet. I will update if I have any issues.

Hi Rhem,

As a default:
In dEX you will need to declare the number of installed CEM20 (in profile setting - click on DT model at the top of configuration tree) and CEM20 must be installed in order.
Meaning, you should use terminal 1 for CEM20-1, then terminal 2 for CEM20-2 etc.
Then after declaration, you may access CEM20 address on each channel.

Manual setup:
You may also declare CEM20 address and channel through Manual Channel (if you choose to ignore CEM20 setting in dEX).
In doing that, you do not need to follow the order of CEM20 installation.
However in this setting, you will need to declare all the channels (connected to CEM20) manually.

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan
