continuously resets after battery failure

Hi there,

we have a dt82e as weather station data logger, the station has a solar panel , charger controller and a 12V 7Ah battery.

after some electrical failure (we still working on to find the cause of the problem (probably the charger controller)), the datalogger stops and enter in continuously reset loop. after holding the OK/Edit, it enters in bootstrap mode for 15s but after timeout it returns to reset loop.

Video from logger in station:

Any idea of what we can do?

Hi Saulo,

That is a firmware boot loop caused by that electrical failure when dataTaker reset.
Please run bootstrap mode again but this time you need to reinstall the firmware:

  • DeTransfer will be more convenient for you to use
  • disable (quit) DTUsb in the background to give you virtual SERIAL
  • open DeTransfer, don't establish a connection to DT
  • click File - Upgrade firmware but do not press enter
  • enter bootstrap mode again
  • press enter in DeTransfer, select COM port and select firmware upgrade file within 10 seconds after you start bootstrap mode
  • it will re-install DT firmware, wait until the process complete

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan
