Problems when opening config from logger

Hi,

I've found when opening files from logger that some fields appear to have reset to default such as:

the time i had set to trigger an ftp upload resets to 00:00

the drop down box beside the Send type changes from "immediately via modem" to Ethernet, I've noticed this also happens just by changing tabs

also when viewing the csv created by the logger there is a column titled TZ which always has a value of n, can this column be removed?

Cheers

Hi Rory,

What is the firmware version on your logger?
Previous firmware version (9.14 and 9.16) have several interface bugs which cause the page you see does not link to the actual program to be sent to the logger.

TZ column is part of a fix CSV format, you can't remove it when you set the output to CSV.
However you may create your own format by arranging the date/ time and channels using free format.

Another bug when using passwords longer than 8 characters for the ftp server is that the remainder get chopped off and placed up in the "server/port" box

Hi Rory,

FTP interface path (between modem and Ethernet) issue is confirmed,
CRON schedule error is also confirmed,
we already have a fix in the next dEX release.

Could you elaborate about FTP password error when using more than 8 characters?
Is there any specific step to replicate this issue?

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan

I've had another look at the password issue and i was wrong in saying it occurs after the 8th character

what appears to happen is that if a password contains the @ character (in my case this was the 7th character)any text after this character is teleported up into the server/port field

no big issue I'll just use another password without it

also do you have an eta on the dEX release as we are planning to deploy a few of these shortly?

Hi Rory,

You may use @ character as your username or password in FTP declaration, however you must declare it in hexadecimal.
For your case, you must declare the password as 123456%40789, %40 is representation for @

Unfortunately we have no ETA yet, so the best option for you as follows:

  • CRON issue, you have to edit dEX file manually related to CRON schedule then upload it and directly save to logger (without re-accessing each schedule).
  • FTP interface selection, you have to access command language through View menu. Copy FTP declaration, create a new manual channel and paste that declaration into manual channel.
