RF Modules

Hello All,

I have a problem in collecting and transmitting Rainfall data using RF module . And I really need your help.

  • Rainfall station transmit data via RF (because this place is not 3G, Ethernet) to Repeater Stations ( long range: Maximum of 30 km over mountainous terrain). And from Repeat Stations transmit data via RF to System Center Station (long range: 30 km).

Which RF module is connected to DataTaker data loggers in that solution?

Please give me some advise

Thank you very much
thuyvan

Hi thuyvan,

You may use any SCADA radio modem which run on VHF or UHF preferably with Ethernet connection so you can make direct FTP transmission.

Hi thuyvan,

The principal of radio modem is providing direct link between two points (line of sight is required), most brand run on known communication protocol however for easy access you need to consider having IPv4 rather than SERIAL RS232.

You may try to check FreeWave.
