What happens when lithium battery fails

Hello!

I have some questions about this topic!

I know that when power fails, internal battery fails and lithium battery fails, the clock/calendar is reset to 1989, and loses some memory settings. My question is which ones?

I Know that in DT800 it loses is mains frequency P11, date format P31 and time format P39. I do not know if it is the same in the DT80.

I have firmware 9.14.

Thank you!

Good morning Skeighter,

The Lithium battery keeps the clock alive and the volatile memory.

The DT80 is slightly different to the DT800 in that we now keep the parameters and switches in profile settings.
This means the settings will be loaded when the logger wakes up after forced sleep mode but if you don't put these values in the profile settings or hard code them then yes, like the DT800 they will be lost.

If you use the Maintain Vars profile setting then you will loose the valuables because they are in volatile memory.

Cheers

Roger
