Multiple Schedules with different serial string triggers

Hi,

I'm having a frustrating issue that the manual explicitly says is possible, unless i'm mis-interpreting the manual.
p359 of UM-0085-B8

I have a serial sensor that outputs various NMEA0183 at different times and no particular order, so i'm trying to set up different schedules that are triggered when the respective message header $----- string arrives at the serial sensor port.

I can set up 1 schedule to trigger on 1 message, and it'll run like clockwork... provided the messages come in a set time/order, which they don't.

when i try and set up multiple schedules triggered by different text strings headers, at best it will read in data for about 1 minute or so then stop reading the serial port period lil sit locks up (most times the serial input becomes inactive immediately)... but other schedules i.e. time triggered schedules will continue to run.

is this a bug, or am i doing something wrong?

Hi DickyKnee,

Can you send me your program?
How many NMEA string that you want to capture?

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan

Basically when I try and set more than 1 schedule triggered by an incoming string.

i think it happens when a series of messages come in quick succession, when i manually fed a recorded data stream with Hyperterminal, adding a delay between character sends it worked... but this is not how the device outputs data, it sends them in quick succession.

I wrote a program to demonstrate my issue, where do I send it? I'm assuming your after the .dex file?

Good morning DickyKnee,

You can sens us your dEX configuration file or a raw DT code, which ever you comfortable using.
Can you also include the MNEA strings you are trying to read?

Please send them to the Australian support email address.

Regards,
Roger
