Bug Reports
Running Averages and 9.10 firmware

Hi,

I noticed in the Release Notes for a recent logger purchased that has the 9.10 firmware installed that a new running average channel option has been implemented. I thought this would be useful, but I can't seem to get it to work.

I created a manual channel in the configuration builder "Configure the logger", and even when I copy verbatim the channel example in the release notes, when I save the configuration to the logger it spits back an error.

Is there something limited or special about this function that I'm missing? There is very little in the way of documentation on this except what is in the release notes.

Cheers.

Good morning DickyKnee, smile

If the code is not accepted then you will have a syntax error.

The Running average is implemented as a channel option

e.g
1V(RAV50) will return the running average of the last 50 reading on channel 1.

In dEX you will have to use a manual channel to use this feature.

Cheers,
Roger

Right-o that worked. The syntax of the example in the release notes had 1TK(RAV(50)), which didn't work.

Good afternoon Dicky Knee,

I'll make sure it is correct in the manual.
