Software Upgrade Problems

Hello -

I am having trouble upgrading the software on a DT85 (I believe series 1). S/N 083710

I normally use DeTransfer for a newer logger I have but the "upgrade firmware" function is grayed out when I connect.

I tried two different USB sticks - one was an 8 Gig which I understand is too big. I also tried a freshly formatted FAT32 256meg stick and it didn't work either. It just reads the stick and shuts off
old firmware 7.06
new firmware 9.10

We used to use DeLogger on an old XP machine that is now corrupted. I am trying to get another copy through Datataker sales.

Hi magnum,

The problem of upgrading series 1 logger is free memory.
Series 1 logger has 64 MB compact flash memory which 38 MB is occupied by help files (video help) and 10 MB is occupied by system files.
Therefore you will have 16 MB free memory (assuming no job reside in the logger).

Upgrading through DeTransfer requires 10 MB free memory while upgrading though USB requires 25 MB free memory.
If you failed to upgrade via DeTransfer, your free memory could be less than 10 MB.

Please reformat DT compact flash using FORMAT B: DELETEALL and try again.

Notes: Your USB stick should be formatted with a standard FAT system and 32 kB memory allocation.
Please send your request for a copy of DeLogger to dataTaker service email.

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan
