Bug Reports
SW Exception

Hi All,

I have a series 3 DT85 v9.14. It as not been used much over the last year, and now just when I need it it seems to be giving me an error. As it collects data it will, all of a sudden, stop, lights flash, and the message SW exception appears.

I was having a problem with the unit running on battery, in that it was losing power then turning back on then losing power. I traced that to the broken jumper (grey bridge) on the required battery terminal. Replaced the bridge and now the unit works fine until the SW exception happens at what seems random times.

Is it to do with losing power during the data gathering? If so why does it work for a while and then come up with this error?

Thanks,

Hi Kaltal,

There are many causes that end up with SW exception.
Could you attach logger service log for review?

Best regards,
Rudy Gunawan
